Troubleshooting¶
Checks for the Sentiment Studio failures the published getting-started page prepares you for.
The browser does not load the page¶
Cause: the port forward is not running, or it is pointed at another instance. The service listens on loopback port 8501.
Fix: wait until first boot has finished, start the forward, and open
http://127.0.0.1:8501 on the workstation. Leave the forward running.
Sign-in is rejected¶
Cause: the username or password does not match
/home/ubuntu/.config/sushi-streamlit/access.json on this instance.
Fix: as ubuntu, read the file in a shell you are not recording and
enter those values in the login page. Do not delete the file, and do not
edit the other identity fields. First boot does not treat a deleted identity
as a safe reset.
The CSV is rejected¶
Cause: the file is not UTF-8, the header is not exactly row_id,text,
there are fewer than 1 or more than 12 data rows, the file is over 16 KiB,
or a row_id is repeated or contains a character other than a letter, a
digit, an underscore, or a hyphen.
Fix: start from /opt/streamlit/sample.csv, which has six synthetic
examples, or match those rules in your own file. Then run:
sushi-streamlit verify does not see an earlier run¶
Cause: each command writes the path you pass to --output. A reused
name replaces that file. A new name keeps the earlier JSON.
Fix: run text or csv with a new output path, then verify that path.
See Score text or a CSV.
A download link from the browser stops working¶
Cause: the published guide says the loopback download link reaches that result while the server retains it.
Fix: download the JSON while the forward is still open and the service
is running. For a copy you can keep, use sushi-streamlit text or
sushi-streamlit csv with an --output path under ~/streamlit-results,
and include that directory in your backup. See
Backups.
