Configuration

This page shows where Langflow 0.2.1 keeps its login, flows, and provider key. /opt/sushi/docs/README.md on the instance is the package reference.

Where things live

Path What it is
/etc/langflow/admin.json Initial administrator username and password. Read it as ubuntu.
/etc/langflow Administrator identity and configuration, including service.env, admin.json, initialized.json, and any operator.env.
/etc/langflow/operator.env Operator settings. Root-managed, mode 0600.
/var/lib/langflow Application state.
/var/lib/langflow/langflow.db SQLite database for this single instance.
~/.langflow-provider-key Provider key file you create, mode 0600.
127.0.0.1:7860 Visual editor.
/opt/sushi/docs/demo.sh Local demo. Run it with no arguments.
/opt/langflow/sources Original sources shipped with the package.
/usr/share/doc/langflow Dependency notices.

Check the service with sushi-langflow status. List commands with sushi-langflow help.

Local demo and provider demo

Package 0.2.1 changed the documented demo:

  • bash /opt/sushi/docs/demo.sh with no arguments waits for startup, then saves, runs, and reads back a Chat Input to Chat Output flow. It does not use a provider key.
  • sushi-langflow demo --model MODEL --api-key-file FILE still runs a provider demo. Add --endpoint when the guide's example asks for the API base. The key file must contain only the key, mode 0600, owned by ubuntu.

Do not pass the key as a command argument.

What the image leaves off

Custom component uploads, component-path overrides, and code interpreter components are disabled. SSRF protection is enabled. The default hostname allowlist is empty. A provider endpoint that is not on the public internet needs an exact hostname you add to that allowlist.

The editor stays on 127.0.0.1:7860. Reach it with Session Manager port forwarding or the SSH tunnel in Getting started.

Apply a change

After an approved edit to operator settings, restart:

sudo systemctl restart langflow.service

A missing initialized database fails visibly. Restart does not replace an existing identity.
