Operations

This page covers access, backups, moving to another image, and support for the CrewAI Agent Starter.

Security model

  • No web listener. You use a shell. Nothing in this package waits on an application port.
  • No stored AWS keys. Bedrock calls use temporary IMDSv2 role credentials. Result files do not contain those credentials.
  • Narrow tools. The analyst can run sum_sales_csv on the current dataset only. The reporter has no tools.
  • Mode 0700 work directories. /home/ubuntu/crewai-workspace/ and /home/ubuntu/crewai-results/ are created that way.
  • SSH, when you enable it. Limit TCP 22 to your source address. Session Manager needs no inbound rule.

Logs and failed runs

A provider error or a readback error fails the demo and leaves the task directory in place. Inspect that directory on the instance. It can contain the CSV, the model trace, and the task outputs. Remove anything you do not want to share before you attach it to a ticket.

sudo systemctl status sushi-crewai-firstboot --no-pager

active (exited) means the one-shot initialization finished.

Backups

Stop active tasks first. Then back up:

  • /home/ubuntu/crewai-workspace/
  • /home/ubuntu/crewai-results/
  • /etc/crewai/

Preserve ownership and file modes. Restore onto the same application version, then run sushi-crewai read against a saved directory before you start new work.

Updates

A new Marketplace version does not change an instance that is already running. Launch the new image, restore the three paths above onto that same application version, and read back a saved result before you rely on it. Keep the backup until that read succeeds.

Do not delete /etc/crewai/ as a reset. First boot keeps an identity that is already there.

Software Sushi provides AMI packaging and setup guidance. Email info@softwaresushi.com for installation questions. Include the Marketplace version, the Region, and the error the command printed. Omit model traces if they contain data you cannot share.

The published getting-started page offers a full refund of software charges for the first 48 hours after billing starts, if the product does not perform as described. To request it, email the same address with the EC2 instance ID and a description of the issue. EC2, EBS, and data transfer charges are outside that refund.

Support beyond installation questions needs a separate agreement. Upstream CrewAI support is not included. The CrewAI documentation describes the upstream project.
